This traditional 16th century pub with original low beams is on the square in Braintree Town centre. A narrow entrance leads to a cavernous interior with many spaces around the central bar. Food is served all day and there are several TV screens showing sports events. There's a beer garden for those sunny days and a real fire inside when it gets chilly. One area features a pool table.
