Weekend Visit to Newton Abbot

Friday 25 – Sunday 27 May 2018

Minibus pickups early Friday morning for trip down to Devon via a maltings.
Limited to members only due to insurance restrictions. Booking essential.
Estimated cost for travel and fuel will be £35- 40 per person .Book own accommodation and bring packed lunch for the journey.
Visit to Traditional Maltings in Warminster £12.50 pp including beer prior to and during tour at 2pm.
There are only 4 left in the country and this is a real chance to see one before it's too late.
Explore the great pubs in Newton Abbott including the legendary Olde Cider Bar (National Cider Pub of the Year 2017).
The Railway Brewhouse has a music and beer festival on.
Regular buses down to Torquay, Brixham and Paignton if you fancy some time on the English Riviera
and also a bus to Exeter where there is a host of good pubs and plenty of history.
Saturday visit to South Devon Railway with steam trains running from Buckfastleigh to Totnes
including a real ale and cider festival at Staverton station.
4pm Saturday visit Exe Valley Brewery with open bar until 6pm followed by a meal at The Lamb in Silverton.
May visit Beer Engine (Brewery Pub) at Newton St Cyres nearby.
Sunday we will have a stop at Sheppy’s Cider on the way home (shop, museum and restaurant).
